Who says spirit wear has to be just shirts?
Sweatpants make great spirit wear, too! They are especially good for schools in colder regions, but since there are also lightweight sweatpants, there is a style for everyone to share their school spirit on their sweatpants.
Sweatpants Styles and Specs
There are a few different options for sweatpants styles. You can have the traditional elastic on the ankle or you can choose an open bottom. Some styles include pockets and some don’t.
There are economy sweatpants that are around 8 oz fleece, but they tend to not last as long and usually don’t have pockets. We don’t sell those because we want you to love what you wear. The most common basic sweatpants we offer are a 9.3 ounce weight, like the heavyweight Gildan sweatpants with pockets.
You can also choose much lighter styles of yoga pants or leggings for ladies including some capri styles. Open bottom pants for both men and ladies are popular now, offered in both cotton fleece and performance fabrics as well as a variety of fabric blends. Some have waists that can be tied and others add contrasting color stripes for a more modern look like the Holloway Determination Pant. Keep in mind that if you choose pants with a side seam or stripe, your printing may need to be different to work around that.
Pair the Pants with Class Shirts
Don’t you just love the multi-color print down the leg for Summit Academy North High School in Michigan? This Class of 2019 chose the Gildan 9.3 ounce heavyweight fleece open bottom sweatpants with pockets. The entire class signed in the 2019 – Gariel Screen Printing easily printed the class signatures in our custom leg print design #LG-7.
Then the students paired their sweatpants with a sports gray sweatshirt and sports gray Gildan 50/50 t-shirts because they won’t shrink or wrinkle. It’s the everyday t-shirt that wears well. What a combo!!
